HVAC Marketing That Fills the Schedule in Both Seasons

HVAC is the most seasonal trade there is — two demand spikes a year and two stretches where the phone barely moves. The companies that win the summer are the ones that were already ranking in April. We build HVAC marketing around that calendar instead of ignoring it.

HVAC Marketing Runs on a Calendar, Not a Campaign

The first 90-degree week in Chicagoland triples searches for AC repair overnight. The first hard freeze does the same for furnace repair. Neither is a surprise, and both are too late to start. SEO takes a couple of months to move, which means the work that wins July has to happen in spring.

So we build in the shoulder seasons: service pages, town pages, listing activity and review velocity while competitors go quiet. Then we use paid ads to cover the spikes themselves. That combination is how you stop riding the weather. It's the same method behind all the trades we work with, built on an HVAC website built for both seasons.

What HVAC Marketing Includes

Dashboard showing NexusFlow Integration overall score of 51% with category scores: Business Details 100%, Techno Stack 40%, Google Business Profile 100%, Listings 12%, Online Reputation 52%, Website Performance 50%, and SEO Analysis 0%. Separate pages for heating and cooling

AC repair, AC install, furnace repair, furnace replacement, boilers, ductwork, maintenance plans. Each one is a different search with different urgency.

Emergency intent handled separately

No heat in February is a different customer than someone pricing a system replacement in October. The pages, the ads and the response speed all have to reflect that.

Shoulder-season build-up

Content, citations and reviews built in spring and fall, while everyone else lets their listing go stale. Google notices sustained activity.

Maintenance plan promotion

Recurring revenue is what smooths out the dead months. We build the page and the funnel that actually sells it, not just a mention on your services list.

Paid ads for the spikes

Organic carries the baseline, but a heat wave needs capacity you can turn on in a day, which is what paid ads for seasonal demand spikes are for — scaled up when it's hot, pulled back when it isn't.

Review velocity, not review totals

Google weighs how recent your reviews are. Forty from two years ago are worth less than eight from the last quarter, which matters most going into season.

Straight Talk: We Haven't Done HVAC Yet

We'd rather tell you this up front than imply otherwise. We don't currently have an HVAC client, so we can't show you an HVAC case study. What we can show you is the same work in adjacent trades across Chicagoland — roofing, flooring, painting, garage doors, junk removal — where the search behaviour and the seasonality problems look very similar.

Every one of those results is documented with real keywords, positions and dates in our case studies. Judge the work on that, and on the free audit, before you commit anything.

HVAC Contractors Across the Northwest Suburbs

We serve HVAC and mechanical contractors in Schaumburg, Hoffman Estates, Elk Grove Village, Rolling Meadows, Palatine, Arlington Heights, Mount Prospect, Streamwood, Roselle, Hanover Park, Barrington, Itasca, Aurora, Batavia, Downers Grove, Elgin, Elmhurst and St. Charles, IL.

The full list of towns we cover is on our areas we serve page, and if you're just outside it, ask — the work isn't location-dependent.

HVAC Marketing Questions

When should an HVAC company start SEO?

Spring or fall. SEO takes a couple of months to move, so starting in the shoulder season means you're ranked before demand arrives. Starting in July means competing at the worst possible moment.

Should I run ads or SEO for my HVAC business?

Both, and they do different jobs. Organic builds a baseline that keeps producing without ongoing spend. Ads give you capacity you can turn up the week it hits 95 degrees. Relying only on ads means your lead flow stops the day you pause the account.

Why do heating and cooling need separate pages?

Because they're different searches with different urgency and different seasons. One page covering both competes for neither properly. Google matches pages to searches, not businesses to industries.

How long does HVAC SEO take to work?

Expect a couple of months for meaningful organic movement. Listing and map pack improvements can show sooner. Paid campaigns can produce leads within days, which is usually how we bridge the gap.

Do I need a new website for HVAC marketing?

Not necessarily. Sometimes the existing site can be optimized. We'll tell you after the free audit which it is, and if a rebuild isn't warranted we won't push one.

Is there a long-term contract?

No. Month over month, results based. Given we're newer to HVAC specifically, that cuts both ways in your favour — if the work isn't landing you aren't stuck with us.
